The Community Arts Impact Award (CAIA) Program provides operational support for existing and emerging arts and humanities programs and projects at both the organizational and individual level. All applications are reviewed by the CAIA Program Committee which consists of AHA leadership, members, and at-large representatives from the vibrant arts and humanities community in Jefferson County.

The CAIA Program Committee makes recommendations to the Board of Directors based on the strength of applications. Consultation with the committee prior to the submission of the application is strongly recommended in order to resolve questions and avoid unnecessary work in preparation. All award decisions are made by the AHA Board of Directors.

The CAIA Program disburses awards twice annually, February 15th and August 15th. Electronic applications must be received by midnight January 15th or July 15th, depending on the cycle. Physical applications must be postmarked by these deadlines for consideration by the committee. All applications will be acknowledged as received, and awards will be announced by the disbursement date.

Upon completion of the project, a final report, including a statement of how CAIA funds were spent and supporting documentation (receipts, invoices, etc.), must be sub-mitted within one month. Awardees should provide other documentation such as programs, posters, and news clippings. Failure to submit a report will render the awardee and project ineligible for additional support. Awardees are welcome to use a web or print form provided by AHA! or submit the final report in another format.
